Year: 2010-2012
Role: Student researcher
Summary: The purpose of this research project, supervised by Professor Sergio Delgado and recognised by the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, was to study the procedures in Argentina for identifying, impartially investigating and, where appropriate, sanctioning cases of torture in prison. This research is of utmost importance to legal and human rights professionals, researchers, and policymakers interested in human rights and international law, as it aims to determine whether Argentina complies with the obligations it has undertaken due to its ratification of the international and regional instruments whose standards the Istanbul Protocol adopts.
